Employee Spotlight: Mary Alex and Jake
Mary Alex Ballard
Originally from Nashville, Mary Alex moved to Knoxville to attend the University of Tennessee, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance and a minor in Marketing. During her time as a Knoxville Fellow, she was introduced to PYA Waltman, where she now greatly enjoys being a part of the team. She also holds a Master of Arts in Public Leadership and Ethics from Johnson University.
Outside of work, Mary Alex loves traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends. Always up for spontaneous adventures, she enjoys finding new hiking spots, strolling through Lakeshore Park, and attending concerts. You might also catch her wandering the aisles of Target or cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers.

Jake Hoheisel
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Jake attended Liberty University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double major in Finance and Financial Planning. After connecting with PYA Waltman his senior year, Jake and his wife Jordan moved to Tennessee after graduation.
Outside of work, Jake enjoys participating in local tennis and golf leagues, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with friends.
